Unluckily the school holidays are over now and in my case that means waking up early again and studying for my closer coming A level exams, which I actually take pretty easy and relaxed at the moment. I really try not to stress out about it too much. Howsoever I had amazing holidays! Even though they were quite stressful since I’ve been on the go almost everyday meeting up with friends, going out for lunch or dinner, shooting outfits for the blog with Nora and of course working at my part-time job. In addition to that I used every free minute to put together my application for the AMD, where I would like to study after finishing school this summer.
Wanderlust
“Wanderlust – an irresistible desire or impulse to travel the world to understand one’s very existence.”
New Year’s Eve is right around the corner so it’s time for me to sum up 2016 and reflect on all the traveling I did this year. My first journey in 2016 was a weekend trip to the hague with my family. Than it was time for some fashion madness in June so I took a train to Berlin, followed by a little excursion to Amsterdam with my friend Caro! Only a month later I said “Hola!” to Spain and spent about a week in Barcelona. In October my Grandma invited us on a trip to Prague and last but not least London was calling and I went on the graduation trip with my english class.
Attitude of cool
Jackets are by far my favorite category of clothing. I feel like they have all the fun and options for variation. I really don’t like it when it’s too hot outside for a jacket. To me that’s kind of the outfit equivalent of frozen yogurt without toppings or cookies without milk! You get the point.
Birdie & Co.
Last weekend I had breakfast at the little deli & café Birdie & Co. in Düsseldorf Pempelfort. I’ve been there twice by now and always enjoyed a super friendly service and delicious food! The first time I went there with my friend Caro, but my camera unluckily ran out of battery! So I obviously had to come back to share some impression of this pleasant cafe with you!
Fritz’s Frau Franzi
Last sunday it was time for an extensive brunch at The Fritz hotel in Düsseldorf! The integrated restaurant Fritz’s Frau Franzi invited us to try out their exclusive Club-Brunch and it was a pleasure for me to spent the second advent in such a great company and with so many tasty treats. After a friendly reception with their signature drink, a blue melon punch, it was finally time to start the feast while a DJ supplied the best tunes!
Banana bread recipe
There are a few good and really convincing reasons to love and value bananas. They are obviously super delicious and full of vitamins but the best thing about bananas are all the tasty meals you can make out of them! Next to banana smoothies or pancakes I especially love to bake banana bread. It actually became a little ritual for me to prepare a banana bread for important exams, to snack on it during the test. But whenever I make one, which has become quite often in the last months, it’s usually gone at the same day. I just can’t resist warm banana bread! Not that I could resist cooled banana bread any better …
A dream of tulle
I recently had the pleasure to write an article for the DropAstyle blog, which is basically a platform where one can discover new styles within the community. So you might want to head over there for some fashion inspiration and style stalking! My article can be found here in case you are interested in having a little glance at it. But even though some of you have already seen this outfit on the dropAstyle blog I still want to share some more photos of it on my blog as well!
Volant obsession
Sometimes life puts a spoke in one’s wheel and you have to set priorities. In my case those precedences were some important exams and my new job in a fashion retail store. In addition to that I wanted to share a few recent events like the Urbanara flagship store opening (read more here) and the ATT-Jeans online shop release (find all the details here) with you first. Therefore this fall look comes a little bit later than originally planned.
ATT-Jeans x BlogLoft
Last weekend certainly passed by super quickly! Time just flashed past like crazy. In nice company time apparently flies by quicker, I guess, especially when you are having a lot of fun! And last weekend was surely packed with a lot if it. Particularly thanks to Caro from Modesalat and her diligent trainees, who organized and planned everything.
Urbanara
“Home, sweet home!” was the first thing that came into my mind when I entered the new Urbanara store last evening. The brand, for high quality home textiles and accessories, finally opened their first flagship store in Düsseldorf and I could take a glance at their beautiful furnishings and decorations!
