Season after season, denim stays a wardrobe essential, only the styles are adapting. For this summer I added a true ’70s staple to my collection and haven’t looked back since. I’m talking about the jeans skirt! It took me some time to find a deconstructed, ripped denim skirt who fulfills all my wishes at once! But I didn’t gave up searching and eventually found the jeans skirt of my dreams at Abercrombie & Fitch.
Jeans Skirt – Abercrombie & Fitch (similar one here, here or here)
The skirt has light, distressed denim and fits high waisted on me. Basically he meets all the requirements I got. Well, besides fitting me perfectly. I have to admit that I accidentally ordered the wrong size in the hustle and bustle (the skirt was nearly sold out as I found it). But I made it work by tying it close with a belt to accentuate the narrowest part of the waist. Problem successfully solved! Most ways to wear a denim skirt will depend on your personal style. Still I believe this simple and chic look can work for everyone. Just pair the jeans skirt with a sleek white button-down to balance out the distressed denim and knot a belt through the loops for a finished look.
Most denim skirt outfits are on the casual side of things but the skirt can be easily dressed up or down as well. The best part about this trend is that it’s not a one-season wonder. There are countless ways to wear a denim skirt during the cold seasons too. Just pair it with overknee boots and your favorite comfy sweater! Moreover denim skirts can also be the perfect companion for the festival season and whether you’re heading off to Coachella or not, there’s nothing wrong with at least dressing like you are! Just add a bohemian crop top or bralette, lace up sandals, striking accessories and you are good to go! Just keep it simple and let the skirt steal the spotlight.
